03. 공막무
공막무는 조선후기 검무(劍舞) 계통의 궁중정재이다.
궁궐의 연회는 외연과 내연이 있는데, 외연은 잔치의 주인공이 임금일 경우이고 내연은 주인공이 대왕대비나 왕비일 경우이다.
공막무는 내연에서 연행되던 정재였다. 무사를 상징하는 전립(모자)을 쓰고, 전복(검은 색 괘자)을 입으며, 여러 대형을 만들어 가며 춤을 추는데, 제비처럼 날렵하게 허리를 앞뒤로 숙였다 젖히며 빙빙 도는 ‘연풍대’ 동작이 일품이다.
03. Gongmangmu (re-choreographed by Ha Ru-mi)
This is a sword-dance developed in the royal court during the latter part of the Joseon era.
The royal banquet consisted of two parts: inner banquet and outer banquet, the former held for the king himself while the latter for the queen. Gongmangmu was performed for the inner banquet, and the dancers wore a felt hat and a black military uniform, moving in various formations. Of particular note is a movement called “yeonpungdae” where the dancers quickly bend forward and backward while turning round and round like swallows.
