It has been designated as Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 82-4 in 1987. Todayโ€™s performance introduces the shaman dance shown in the shrine, gyobang dance, and folk dance of seungbang, the female shaman. โ–ข Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 82-4. Namhaean Byeolsingut 01. Honmajigut ritual Honmaji, literally means welcoming the spirit, invites the god on the stage. Finally, the welcoming ritual ends and the spirit settle his place. 02. Ollimmugwan Mugwan refers to the dance performed in Namhaean byeolsingut, which is why good dancers have been praised with "he has good mugwan." the dance is also called "sinkal mugwan," literally spiritual sword dance. 03. Tongyeongjinchum The dance is handed over through the office of shamans in the Tongyeong region. The title of dance comes from the area's accent describing the term for "long", gilda. The dance shows the refined beauty of Korean traditional dance in an elegant and graceful figure. 04. Seungbangmugwan This dance was not only performed in the shaman shrine, but also in temples. The first part of this dance is performed by the female shamans wearing long sleeve monk dresses, and then the dancers take off their costumes singing, playing, and dancing. 05. Yongseonnoleum The female shamans invite the heavenly dragon to the secular world, and let it drive out evil spirits and brings good luck to people. This performance is also held in shaman rituals in the southern coastal region as well as in fishermen's rituals and other rituals for dead spirits. 06. Songsingut Ritual After the spirit is entertained and gives good luck to the people, it is time to return the sprit to the heavenly world. As we send off the guests visiting our places, the shamans dance and sing to send off the spirit.
